David visited my husband and me several times at our Martha’s Vineyard house. This farm was right down the road; he sketched it in a few hours one afternoon.

The view from our front bank, where we grew up in Bird-in-Hand, PA. We played often with the Amish kids at this farm, in the barns and pastures. Lovely people, and a lot of David’s landscapes were inspired by our wonderful country upbringing.

This is either a painting or derivative of cabins we used to stay in as kids. We summered several years outside State College, PA, and the family had a hunting cabin in Potter County years ago. Fun times.
